Magpie on her back

Magpie hates hot weather too. She’s been lying on her back (not very lady like) all night and only gets up to move if I move to another room. I wish I had one of those evil air conditioners.

    Have you ever thought of building your own swamp cooler. You probably already have all the parts. They work great and are nice and noisy.

    What’s a swamp cooler? Some sort of ghetto A/C? Sounds interesting.

    I don’t think a swamp cooler would work here. They cool by the same principle that cools us when we sweat: evaporation. Air circulates around continually soaked water pads and the moist, cooled air is pumped into your habitrail. It only works in dry climates for the same reason sweating was totally useless today – the humidity was 86%.

    Having said all that, I think you should make one anyway to piss off your “turn down that goddamned NPR you raucous hooligan’ neighbor.

    That reminds me, I haven’t seen my overly noise sensitive neighbor in weeks. Her gas guzzling monster truck is the parking lot and her lights are on. There aren’t any weird smells — there are, just nothing out of the ordinary.
