Ugly Mug and Whatnot
Here’s my ugly mug (dimples and all) in the July issue of Business People Vermont. Yes, I am smiling, or at least I’m trying to — I look like I’m trying to swallow my face. Despite popular belief, I do smile quite a bit, it’s just hard to photograph.
The funny thing is, I accepted the full-time position in September, but they didn’t send out a press release until two months ago. I guess they wanted to make sure I’d stick around. I think I give people the impression that I’m a transient fella, who could skip town on the next train at any time. I’ll admit, I think about doing that often, but I always stay — unless I’m unwelcome, then I bail.

Earlier this evening, I was working in the print studio and I was the only one there. It was great having the place to myself, just wish I had more time. I made a cool t-shirt. It didn’t come out as planned, but that’s what I like about it and silkscreen printing in general — I adore happy accidents, which are bountiful with screen printing.
On a related note, as an earlier birthday present from the lady who gave birth to me (e-gad, I’m going to be 31 soon), I’m ordering a few silkscreen printing supplies to get me started. Soon, I’ll be able to print at home and go crazy — the good kind of crazy.

I’ve received about 100 hits on my website today because I’m on StumbleUpon — a website I’ve never heard of. There are links to my website, my journals actually, on a couple other sites: like here and here. It’s cool that people (mostly women it seems) like the junky little journal pages I make.
