New Words
A few months ago, while Eva the Deadbeat and I were IMing, we came up with some words—it’s more likely that she came up with them and I just wrote them down. I recently found my scribbles in the pile of ideas and to-do lists, so I thought I’d share them with you:
sogay [soh-gey] adj: really lame, dumb, stupid, etc.; inspired by the comments left on submissions to user generated content websites (i.e. You Tube): This video is sogay!
pornevetable [pawrn-ev-i-tuh-buhl] adj: whatever one is doing on the internet (i.e. email, web searches, image searches), porn is sure to appear; all roads lead to porn — pornevitability n — pornevitableness n — pornevitably adv
deathlebrity [deth-leb-ri-tee] n, pl -ties: someone who is more famous or well-known after their death. EXAMPLES: Franz Kafka, Vincent van Gogh, Henry Darger, S.R. Wild
Use them now. Use them often. Add them to your spell checker.
We also came up with some definitions, but never came up with words to go with them:
- Surfing the internet, IMing, or emailing when one should be working
- What you tell people you’re doing when you’re really just looking at porn

“sogay” is a mainstay of my vocab these days…probably because i am just so god damn “sogay”...

“Pornevetable” has always been a big part of my day. Earlier today, I was searching for images of wet beavers and I was shocked to find porn. Plus, there’s the pornevetable spam I receive everyday. Thankfully, Gmail removes most if for me and protects my virgin eyes. Although, I occasionally catch glimpses of the headlines, like “ejaculate like a pornstar” or “small sausage? there is a solution.”
I have another word that I came up with while we were watching Dirt and the schizophrenic guy (I love that guy) was hallucinating that he was having sex with that dead girl: schizophilia. Similar to that, there’s dendrophilia: erotic attraction to or sexual contact with trees. There’s probably some around here. With the large amount of tree-huggers around, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them went from hugging to lovin’.
Christ, I need to get out more.

I’m having a dreaded bout of internet fueled insomnia myself this even dear Skoot…and the tap drips…drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip drip
One more smoke and I swear I’m standing up and going to bed. I was just thinking how lame it is we never made a vacuum tube transport system when you lived upstairs. How lame were we? Forget it now, you’re too far away.
