Woman Aircraft Worker
I found this striking photograph while flipping through the Library of Congress’ Flickr account — yes, even they have one. I can’t stop staring at it. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the red on her lips and on the tool she’s holding, the contrast between her worn gloves and dapper duds, or maybe I need to get some sleep. Whatever it is, I like it. I wish I was a better photographer or at least had a swanky armband.

Creepy Dolls and Masks and Toys...
…Oh my! This week’s Deathscapes contest. I can’t wait to see more.
The image of the doll, The Yeti, I submitted still creeps me out. Not as much as when we were making it. Gluing hair to a child-size doll’s “special place” felt so wrong… so very very wrong.
