Dirty and Thirty
A lot of people have birthdays today: H.P. Lovecraft, Robert Plant, Connie Chung, Isaac Hayes, and many other people who aren’t famous, such as myself. Around 2 o’clock this afternoon it will be the 30th anniversary of my eviction from the womb.
Many people have asked what I’m going to do today. I suppose I’ll take a shower, drink coffee (lots of it), eat a few times, go to the bathroom numerous times (due to all that coffee), breath, work, walk, and… you know, the usual. Other than that, I don’t know. I never do much on my birthday. Although, now that I think about it, ordering a ton of Indian takeout, watching a movie, and taking a nap sounds really good right now. Especially since there’s one thing I’m not going to do today: sleep. I’ve been up all night, and it’s so late (or early) that sleep would be futile.

happy happy happy new decade to you! they say 30 is the new…nevermind, getting older is cool. i know cause i was chillin’ at BHS’s 50 yr reunion Sat and those are some cool old dudes.
i asked one guy how he had changed since then and he said resolutely, “i became a man.” not a bad thing to grow into to…

Those landlords sure can be cruel, eh? Happy B-day! Everything changes now. Love those shadow sculptures, too. Can you tell me more about them — the artist, where I can see more; very cool, hard to wrap my head around. Take care.

Happy Dirty Thirty. although you can’t properly celebrate without the aid of secret movie night and the ONE.

Thanks everyone. Gosh, four comments by four different people. I should say it’s my birthday everyday.
Eva, I wish I could say “I became a man” at my 50 year reunion, but I wasn’t even invited to my 10 year (might have something to do with dropping out of high school). Plus, no matter how old and wrinkly I get, I’ll still act like a twelve year old boy.
Caleb, the site I found them on didn’t have any info, but I was able to dig up a little: #1 is Lunch With A Helmet [Helmut] On by Shigeo Fukuda, #2-4 are by Tim Noble Sue Webster, and didn’t find anything about #5.
Bill, yes sir, right away sir.
Will, Secret Movie Night was retrotastic and very educational (now I know to always carry a newspaper with me so I won’t get burned if an atomic bomb goes off).
